System installation timing

Arrangement of a groove of a cam-shaft at installation of a head of the block of cylinders


Before head installation it is necessary to be convinced that the groove on the end of the clown of a cam-shaft is established horizontally (in parallel bottom plane of a head of the block of cylinders), and big on height the part of the clown is directed upwards.

The prevention

Surfaces прилегания linings of the block of cylinders and a head should be smooth, pure, without scratches and damages. To check up a condition of the bottom surface of a head of the block of cylinders, this surface is not under repair (not перешлифовывается).


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To measure выступание pistons over the top plane of the block of cylinders.
2. Depending on выступания pistons to pick up a corresponding thickness of a lining of a head (subsection 3.2.1.2.2 see).
3. To establish on the block of cylinders a head lining so that the party with an inscription "TOP" was from above.
4. To establish a head on the block of cylinders.
5. To insert into corresponding apertures of a head of the block of cylinders fastening bolts.

The prevention

At installation of a head of the block of cylinders it is necessary to use new bolts of fastening.


6. To tighten bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders the corresponding moment (subsection 3.2.1.2.9 see) in corresponding sequence (fig. Sequence of a tightening of bolts of a head of the block of cylinders see).
7. In later versions of the engine 1,8 дм3 are used other type of bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders which have carving М12 and heads of type Torx T70. These bolts should be tightened in the same sequence, as bolts of old type (fig. Sequence of a tightening of bolts of a head of the block of cylinders see) following moments:
      – 1 stage: 10 Nanometers;
      – 2 stage: 100 Nanometers;
      – 3 stage: to unscrew a bolt "1" on 180 ;
      – 4 stage: to tighten a bolt "1" moment of 70 Nanometers;
      – 5 stage: to tighten a bolt "1" in addition on 120 .
      – 6 stage: to tighten in the above described way (stages 3–5) other bolts, observing correct sequence of a tightening.
8. To screw up in a head of the block of cylinders of a candle накаливания, tightening their corresponding moment, and to connect their electric wires.
9. To screw up in a head of the block of cylinders of an atomizer together with new washers of thermal isolation, the convex party directed to a head.
10. To establish a back right casing of a drive of system timing with a roller of the tension device.
11. To establish a back left casing together with an average pulley. To check up, whether there is a rubber ring of the elastic pipeline in the place provided for it on a casing.
12. To establish a pulley of a cam-shaft and to insert the adaptation (1) (fig. system Installation timing see).
13. To check up, whether the cranked shaft of the engine send (3) in position ВМТ of the piston of 1st cylinder concerns.
14. To establish a new gear belt of a drive of system timing.
15. To pull a gear belt of a drive of system timing as follows. To weaken a bolt of fastening of a pulley to a cam-shaft, then to unscrew on a floor of a turn a bolt of a roller of the tension device. The roller of the tension device under the influence of a spring will move to a gear belt of a drive of system timing, and then tighten all above-named bolts.
16. To take all adjusting adaptations.
17. To turn a cranked shaft on two complete revolutions in a direction of its working rotation and to establish it in position in which cut of a pulley of the fuel pump is in a position of "12 hours".
18. To turn a cranked shaft in the opposite direction and to establish cut of a pulley of the fuel pump in a position of "11 hours".
19. In a control aperture of the block of cylinders to screw up the mandrel for installation of the piston 1. The cylinder in ВМТ and cautiously to rotate a cranked shaft of the engine (in a direction of its working rotation) against the stop in adjusting the mandrel.
20. To insert the adjusting adaptation of a pulley of a cam-shaft into the aperture provided for it (fig. system Installation timing see).
21. To unscrew on one turn bolts of fastening of an average pulley and a roller of the tension device; then to push away a piece of a gear belt from an opposite side of a roller of the tension device in its direction and to release a belt.
22. To tighten all bolts of fastening.
23. To take all adjusting adaptations, then to screw up a stopper in a control aperture adjusting send in the block of cylinders of the engine.
24. To establish a casing of a drive of system timing.
25. To establish and pull клиновой a belt of a drive of the generator.
26. To establish клиновой a belt of a drive of the pump of a cooling liquid.
27. To connect to the block of cylinders of the engine returnable маслопровод with турбокомпрессора.
28. To screw a forward exhaust pipe.
29. To screw скобу an exhaust pipe on a transmission cross-beam.
30. To establish new linings and to connect the pipeline of giving of oil to the pump and турбокомпрессору.
31. To connect to an inlet collector the vacuum pipeline screwed on the fuel pump.
32. To check up and in case of need to adjust a backlash of valves.
33. To establish a cover of a head of the block of cylinders together with a lining.
Then to execute other actions in sequence of return in relation to process of removal of a head of the block of cylinders, paying attention on:
      – Observance of the corresponding moments of a tightening of bolts and nuts;
      – Installation of a new lining of a cover of the thermostat;
      – Removal of air from fuel system;
      – Filling of system of cooling and removal of air from it;
      – Check of tightness of all connections.
