THE GENERAL DATA

Kardannyj shaft

The kardannyj shaft of cars Ford Sierra consists of two parts. In cars with the engine 1,3 дм3 has one elastic hinge (forward), and also two crosswise hinges, whereas in cars with engines 1,6 and 2,0 дм3 – three crosswise hinges.

The forward part of a shaft after installation is counterbalanced as a single whole. In a case рассоединения at their assemblage it is necessary to pay attention of shaft parts to preservation of a relative positioning of adjusting signs (the deepenings executed кернером on a shaft, and also wide line on крестовине) which should lie on one line. Крестовины hinges have the needle bearings condensed for protection against pollution. Crosswise hinges form not folding knot with which in case of need it is necessary to replace entirely with shaft.

The back bridge

The back bridge has a rigid suspension bracket, in front on a beam of a back axis, and behind through metallo-rubber elements to a body. The main transfer is гипоидной.

The gear wheel of the main transfer rotates in two conic bearings with the initial tightness realised by means of the deformed remote plug.

Adjustment of coupling of teeths of the main transfer is made by means of selection of a thickness of linings between the internal bearing of a gear wheel and a gear wheel of the main transfer.

Adjustment межзубьевого a backlash of the main transfer, and also an initial tightness of bearings of differential is made by means of two adjusting flanges with ledges.

Semiaxial gear wheels are established on шлицах semiaxes and fixed by means of a lock ring.
