FORWARD BRAKES

Since August, 1988 (the code of date of manufacturing "JE") in cars Ford Sierra with diesel engines is changed a material brake колодок. Besides, the thickness of a flange of a disk of a brake is increased with 7 to 8,5 mm, and a thickness of a flange of a rotary fist with 8 to 9 mm.

Necessarily it is necessary to check up length of hairpins of fastening of a wheel. If it makes 36,5 mm them it is necessary to replace necessarily with hairpins in length of 40 mm (nuts of fastening of a wheel should be established on the corresponding length of a carving).

The vacuum pump

Since 1987 cars Ford Sierra with diesel engines are equipped with the vacuum pump of new type established on a former arm. It cannot be rejected at tension adjustment приводного a belt.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To weaken bolts of fastening of the vacuum pump to an arm and bolts скобы an arm, крепящие it to the engine.
2. To take from an arm a bolt of fastening and to move the vacuum pump.
3. To remove приводной a pump belt.
4. To establish a new belt. To insert the taken bolt and to tighten all bolts of fastening of the vacuum pump.

Brake hoses

In a holding time of brake system it is necessary to check a condition of brake hoses (on all length).

The prevention

At car lifting from below suspension bracket elements excessively fall that causes выдергивание elastic brake hoses from fastenings. Brake hoses it is necessary to check up and establish carefully them on fastening places.

ANTIBLOCKING SYSTEM

Since February, 1988 (a code of date of manufacturing "JR") the wire of weight of the pump of system ABS is connected directly to the negative plug of the accumulator.
