Site of the identification data

The identification tablet

The identification tablet is attached in a motor compartment on a forward cross-beam on the right side (cм. Fig. the Site of the identification data). Contains the following information:

 – A vehicle code;
 – Identification number of a vehicle;
 – As much as possible full admissible weight;
 – As much as possible full admissible weight together with the trailer;
 – As much as possible safe load on a forward axis;
 – As much as possible safe load on a back axis;
 – Steering type (a designation "2" – a steering wheel on the right side; a designation "1" – a steering wheel on the left side);
 – Engine type;
 – Transmission type;
 – A code of transfer number of the main transfer;
 – A furnish and equipment kind;
 – A code of type of a vehicle;
 – The version;
 – Colour of a body;
 – The special code concerning issue of exhaust gases.

Identification number of a vehicle

The identification number consisting of 17 signs, is beaten out in a body on a floor under facing between sitting of the passenger and a threshold (cм. Fig. the Site of the identification data). From two parties it is concluded in asterisks. Contains the following information:

Signs 1–3 – the world identification code of the manufacturer:
– WF0, and also WF1	Ford Werke AG – Germany
– SFA	Ford Motor Co Ltd – Great Britain
– UN1	Henry Ford and Son Ltd – Ireland
– XLC	NV Nederland Ford – Holland

Designations of the petrol engine

The code of type of the petrol engine consists of three signs:

1 sign – working volume
– J	1,3 дм3
– L	1,6 дм3
– R	1,8 дм3
– N	2,0 дм3
2 sign – the engine version
– And, With, Е, R, P, 2 or 8	High degree of compression
– S	The economic version
– 4, 6 or 9	Gasoline injection
– 5	Injection of gasoline and турбокомпрессия
3 sign – application to model (it is appropriated at assembly factory). And, in, With, D, E, F, I, J, R, S, T, 2, 5; can sometimes not be present or be double – DA.
