Since November, 1988 in cars Ford Sierra with diesel engines instead of a mechanical five-speed transmission of type the mechanical five-speed transmission of type МТ 75 is established.
The transmission three-total, a classical design has five synchronised transfers for advance (4th transfer – a straight line) and the synchronised transfer of a backing. The box is established along a car axis behind the engine. The gear change lever is established on a car floor.

Periodicity of service: level check each 20 000 km or once a year; periodic replacement of oil is not provided.
