Diagnostics

System EES IV possesses function of autodiagnostics facilitating detection of malfunctions. The diagnostic socket located about the accumulator, does possible connection of tester STAR showing diagnostic codes, containing in diagnostic memory of electronic actuation device EES IV.

For check of contents of diagnostic memory it is necessary to connect tester STAR to a diagnostic socket systems EES IV, to include a tester and to read diagnostic codes. For use of a maximum of diagnostic possibilities it is necessary to arrive strictly according to the instructions resulted in the table, describing diagnostic procedure.

Procedure of diagnostics of system EES IV

The basic procedure
1. To connect tester STAR to a diagnostic socket. To include a tester. To press the tester button.
The diagnostic socket is located about the accumulator. On the indicator the control code should be highlighted. In case of occurrence of the message on the discharged batteries of a food, it is necessary to replace them. The symbol of reception of codes should be highlighted. It designates that the tester is ready for reception of diagnostic signals of electronic actuation device EES.
2. To include ignition. Not to start the engine.
After ignition inclusion electronic actuation device EES IV is switched in a mode of autodiagnostics and after a while is ready to work.
3. To read and write down highlighted digital codes of defects. A code "11" or a code of the found out malfunction.
Electronic actuation device EES IV checks signals from gauges at the idle engine and a condition of converters of the data. The code "11" designates that the system is serviceable. In case of malfunction the corresponding code will be written down in diagnostic memory of electronic actuation device EES IV which will highlight it during check of a faulty element.
4. The code "20" is highlighted.
It is a division code. It divides codes shown during the current control from written down in diagnostic memory in the course of the others 40 autotrouble-shooting tests.

Highlighted codes designate the malfunctions which have been found out in the course of others of 40 autotrouble-shooting tests and are written down in memory. The code "11" designates that 40 autotrouble-shooting tests are not revealed malfunctions in the course of the others. Procedure at the working engine
1. To include diagnostic tester STAR.
To press the tester button.

3. The tester should highlight a code "50".
The code "50" is a code of identification and means that the engine is equipped by the European version of electronic actuation device EES IV. If the code "50" is not highlighted, it is necessary to check up type of electronic actuation device EES IV.
4. Vysvechivanie series of codes of the found out malfunctions. In case of detection of malfunctions it is necessary to switch off a tester, to muffle the engine and to eliminate malfunctions. Then to repeat procedure at the working engine.

5. Increase in number of turns of the engine.
The increase in number of turns of the engine is caused by electronic actuation device EES IV in the beginning of sequence of performance of dynamic tests. Electronic actuation device EES IV checks management elements, feigning various working conditions of the engine, and then compares results to the data programmed in memory. The found out malfunctions remain in diagnostic memory of electronic actuation device EES IV, and then are transferred in a diagnostic tester.
6. The code "10" is highlighted. Immediately after высвечивания this code it is necessary to press an accelerator pedal (the number of turns of the engine should pass quickly for 2500 rpm) sharply.
After высвечивания a code "10" it is necessary to press an accelerator pedal sharply. At the pressed pedal of an accelerator electronic actuation device EES IV should define excess of number of turns of 2500 rpm.
7. In a case высвечивания a code "44" it is necessary to press button STAR and to switch off the engine. To return to operation N1 and to repeat at first all procedure at the working engine.
The code "44" means that change of number of turns of the engine was insufficiently.

If the code "44" is not highlighted, it is necessary to continue procedure according to point N8.


8. The code "11" or codes of the found out malfunctions is highlighted. The code "11" designates that malfunctions are not found out. To read and write down the highlighted codes of malfunctions.

9. To eliminate the malfunctions which have been found out in the previous operation. To muffle the engine, to switch off tester STAR pressing of its button. If malfunctions are not found out (a code "11"), it is necessary to pass to performance of operation N10.
