Elements of system of injection Ford Motorcraft EFI of engine DOHC
Design and action principle
In electronic multidot system of injection Ford Motorcraft EFI the fuel submitted under constant small pressure, goes to four atomizers which inject it on inlet the valve. The quantity of sprayed fuel is regulated by time of opening of the atomizers, defined electronic control mean ЕЕС IV on the basis of number of turns of the engine and size of course of air consumed by the engine.
The electric fuel pump shipped in a tank, forces constantly fuel through the pipeline to the fuel filter, a regulator of pressure (6), a collector of atomizers (8) and to atomizers (10). The pressure regulator supports constant pressure for the given depression in an inlet collector.
The quantity of the fuel submitted to each cylinder, is regulated by time of opening of the atomizer, having on each cycle of work of the cylinder.
Electronic actuation device EES IV defines this time on the basis of following signals:
– The gauge (5) temperatures of arriving air;
– The gauge of number of turns of the engine located in the distributor of ignition;
– The gauge (4) cooling liquids;
– The gauge of position throttle заслонки, located in картере throttle заслонки (2);
– The gauge of position of the lever of a gear change of an automatic transmission (in cars with an automatic transmission);
– The gauge of inclusion of the compressor of the conditioner (in cars with air-conditioning).
On the basis of these signals electronic actuation device EES IV provides optimum for the given working conditions of the engine structure of a mix of fuel and air.
Besides it operates the valve of a regulator (11) idlings which corrects number of turns of idling by means of giving of additional air through the pipeline (3). In the course of start of the engine the valve of a regulator of idling is opened as much as possible.
In a no-load time its opening changes depending on requirement, keeping constant number of turns of the engine.
