3.1.5. Changes in a design of the car with 1990 till February, 1993

THE GENERAL DATA

This section concerns changes of cars Ford Sierra entered into designs with four-cylinder petrol engines from model 1990 till February, 1993.

Models 1990

In September, 1989 the new version of equipment with name Laser in which versions to equipment GL are added is entered: headlight headlights, decorative caps of wheels of type GT, the blacked out glasses, a black frame of lateral glasses and a tachometre on a combination of devices.
In February, 1990 appearance of the car has been subjected to some updatings. In a forward part of a body of all cars the open aperture of giving of air to a radiator and white lanterns of forward indexes of turns is entered; decorative caps of wheels of new type are entered also. Behind in cars with a body of a berlin and a sedan the black strip connecting new blacked out back lanterns is entered.

Besides for all cars Ford Sierra:

 – Are excluded from the offer of version GT and S;
 – The version of equipment GLS and CLX is entered;
 – Manufacturing of a body of a three-door compartment is stopped.

Models 1991

Essential changes it is not entered.

Models 1992

In July, 1991 the version of equipment СL is excluded from the body offer комби. In all models are entered: small changes of the forward panel, the hydraulic booster of system of a steering (except for version CL), electric lifts of forward lateral glasses, adjustment of height of driver's sitting, bumpers of colour of a body in versions of equipment GL and Ghia and partially also in versions СL and CLX. In equipment of version GL the chromeplated overlays on bumpers, lateral decorative overlays, the hatch on a roof, opened manually, headrests on back сидениях and the central lock also are added. Electric lifts of lateral glasses of back doors are entered into versions Ghia. Since then this equipment also is offered for cars with a body комби.

Since January, 1992 version GT is equipped painted colour of a body with bumpers, a spoiler and rear-view mirrors; for the versions equipped with engines with injection of fuel, the disks of wheels made of an easy alloy are entered.

Models 1993

In the end of January, 1993 sale of all versions of cars Ford Sierra is stopped.
