THE GENERAL DATA

SEALING RINGS

In all engines sealing rings of new type with the additional edge protecting from hit of a dust in actually sealant were regularly applied. Simultaneously on the ends of cranked and intermediate shaft facets of necks are reduced.

The prevention

In case of need in the course of its installation it is necessary to replace extraction of a sealing ring of old type with a sealing ring of new type.

PULLEYS

Since May, 1983 in engines ONS two types of pulleys of a cranked shaft are used: cast from pig-iron or shaped from a steel.

Pulleys differ by means of the signs serving for installation of ignition:

  – On steel pulleys adjusting signs cover corners: from 4 ° after ВМТ to 12 ° before ВМТ, and digital designations are located everyone 4 °;
  – On pig-iron pulleys adjusting signs cover corners: from 0 ° (ВМТ) to 16 ° before ВМТ and they are hyphens (digital designations are absent); everyone 4 ° the hyphen of a designation is deeper than the next.
