4.1.4.1.4. Starting arrangement adjustment
THE GENERAL DATA

The case of a bimetallic spring of the automatic starting arrangement of carburettor Ford

 By arrow adjusting signs for adjustment of time of action of the starting arrangement (sign coincidence on the case of a bimetallic spring with the motionless sign first on the left side designates earlier deenergizing of the starting arrangement) are shown.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To disconnect the accumulator and to remove the air filter.
2. To unscrew three screws with a crosswise head of fastening of the case of a bimetallic spring and to remove the starting arrangement case.
3. To remove заглушку from the bottom part of the case.
4. To turn a starting arrangement control lever so that an aperture in its axis was opposite to an aperture in the case.
5. To check up correctness of position through an aperture in a casing.
6. To insert a drill of the corresponding diameter into an aperture of a casing and to be convinced that it enters into an aperture in starting arrangement axes.
7. To weaken a nut on an axis of the operating lever.
8. Without taking a drill, to turn against the stop clockwise the lever of the starting arrangement and довинтить a nut on its axis.
9. To take a drill and to check up a backlash, and also number of turns of idling of the engine as follows. To turn the starting arrangement lever so that an aperture in its axis was opposite to an aperture in the case.
10. To insert a drill of the corresponding diameter into the calibrated aperture of the device and to check up, whether it enters deep into lever axes.
