THE GENERAL DATA

Elements of system of ignition of engine CVH of sq. type R2A of 1,8 dm

3 – a drive of the distributor of ignition,
4 – a bolt of fastening of a drive,
5 – an arm of the distributor of ignition,

Functioning principle

The electronic module of management of ignition ESC receives signals from the gauge of position and number of turns, the gauge of temperature of a cooling liquid, the gauge of temperature of arriving air and the vacuum gauge in an inlet collector.

On the basis of these signals, and also a card of optimum angles of an advancing of ignition at various working conditions of the engine, written down in memories, microprocessor module ESC operates a current in a primary winding of the coil of ignition, defining the moment of interruption of a current in a primary winding of the coil depending on the received signals. The power-current moves through the ignition distributor to wires свеч ignitions.

Then the module includes a current in a primary winding on strictly certain time interval and process repeats again, and the corner of an advancing of ignition changes the module depending on the received information.

The module of management of ignition ESC carries out following functions:

  – Defines number of turns of the engine depending on a time interval which passes between the next impulses generated by teeths of a wreath moving in front of gauge of position and number of turns (a double cut) between wreath teeths defines position of a cranked shaft 45 before ВМТ);
  – Defines vacuum in the inlet collector, testifying to degree of loading of the engine;
  – On the basis of the received information and the data containing in memory, defines optimum at the given operating conditions a corner of an advancing of ignition;
  – Switches on and off a current in a primary winding of the coil of ignition, causing formation of the high voltage creating a spark of ignition.

Module ESC, besides, operates the engine putting in action throttle заслонку of the carburettor in a range of idling, correcting its position depending on loading (automatic transfer is included, air-conditioning is included) and a thermal condition of the engine.

Check of system of ignition

The system of ignition does not demand adjustment. Removal and installation of the distributor of ignition does not represent great difficulties (fig. Elements of system of ignition of engine CVH of sq. type R2A of 1,8 dm see) as it can be established only in one, correct position.

The ignition distributor is checked by means of a multimeter. The check method is resulted in the table, concerning check of system of ignition.
