7.6. Dismantling and differential assemblage
THE GENERAL DATA

Measurement of an axial backlash between semiaxial gear wheels and a differential box

 Differential dismantling is obligatory only when the backlash between semiaxial gear wheels and a differential box exceeds value of 0,15 mm or when satellites or semiaxial gear wheels are damaged.

Dismantling

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. By means of the adaptation 15.026 And to remove bearings of a box of differential.
2. To establish a differential box in a vice, to weaken bolts of fastening of a conducted gear wheel of the main transfer and to separate a gear wheel with a box, cautiously striking in fastening bolts.
3. To unscrew bolts of fastening and to remove a gear wheel from a differential box.
4. To take an adjusting pin of an axis of satellites.
5. To take an axis, satellites and their adjusting linings.

Assemblage

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To establish semiaxial gear wheels together with new adjusting linings with a thickness picked up according to earlier measured backlashes.
2. To establish satellites together with basic linings and an axis.
3. To heat up a conducted gear wheel of the main transfer (by its lowering in hot water) and to put on it a differential box. To provide a normal centering by installation of four bolts of fastening.
4. After adjustment of installation of gear wheels of the main transfer (subsection 7.8 see) to establish differential bearings.
