THE GENERAL DATA

Check of level of a cooling liquid

At least, once a week when the engine is switched off also cold, it is necessary to check level of a cooling liquid in a broad tank (2, fig. the Motor compartment of the car with the petrol engine see).

The broad tank is located on the right side of a motor compartment. Level of a cooling liquid, visible through transparent walls of a tank, should be at sign height "max". In case of need it is necessary to fill quantity of a cooling liquid after stopper unscrewing in a broad tank.

The prevention

In a case when the engine hot, the cooling system is under pressure. Therefore at first it is necessary to unscrew a little a stopper, to wait while pressure in a broad tank it will not be levelled with atmospheric, and then a stopper to unscrew completely.

Control bulb of a minimum level of a cooling liquid

In some versions of equipment in an average part of the forward panel, under average nozzles of system of ventilation, the control bulb which lights up if level of a cooling liquid falls below the minimum is located. It is necessary to fill immediately quantity of a cooling liquid, being guided by the above-stated instructions.

Check of a condition and tightness of connections of pipelines

Each 10 000 km of run of the car it is necessary to check visually a condition and tightness of connections of pipelines of system of cooling.

Replacement of a cooling liquid

Each two years washing of system of cooling and replacement of a cooling liquid is recommended.
