REMOVAL AND STARTER INSTALLATION

Removal
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To disconnect a wire of weight of the accumulator.
2. To lift and fix in front of the car.
3. To disconnect from a starter the main wire of power supplies, and also an electric wire from the electromagnetic switch of a starter.
4. To unscrew three bolts of fastening (fig. starter Fastening see) and to take a starter from below the car.

Installation

For starter installation it is necessary to execute actions in return sequence in relation to removal process.

DISMANTLING AND STARTER ASSEMBLAGE

For dismantling and assemblage of a starter after its removal from the car it is necessary to take advantage of drawings: Starters Lucas, Starters Cajavec and Nippondenso and Starters Bosch on which correct positions of each detail are presented.

After starter dismantling it is necessary to check up:

  – A condition of brushes, their deterioration, and also freedom of moving of brushes in щеткодержателях;
  – Force of a clip and position of springs of brushes;
  – A kind of a collector which should be cleared a rag moistened in gasoline or трихлорэтилене, and прошлифовать a fine-grained emery paper;
  – A condition of plugs of self-greased bearings; in case of need replacements should be lowered new plugs not less, than for 20 minutes in engine oil (viscosity SAE 30 or 40) before their installation in a starter.
